What an amazing day for all who were lucky enough to attend the Annual Duck Creek Picnic Races this year. We congratulate Rowen Cleaver and the Duck Creek Picnic Races committee for a wonderful day of fun, good times, great horses and trainers and to top it all off fabulous bands playing well into the night for all who attended.
For Macquarie Home Stay it was all of that and more with a crew of their Directors and volunteers attending the event to help out the Duck Creek committee on the day.
“Duck Creek is such a fun and vibrant day, we always have volunteers keen to come and support the committee on their big day to help make it a successful event and we are happy to help in this practical way.” Rod Crowfoot, Managing Director Macquarie Home Stay said.
Over the years the Nyngan Duck Creek Picnic Races have been tremendously generous to Macquarie Home Stay and this year was no different. A massive $20,000 has been donated to the facility. “Duck Creek Picnic Races have struck up an association with Macquarie Home Stay because it appreciates the amazing services it provides. It is a much needed service for western NSW people and is extremely well run. We make our donations to charities that will best support western NSW people. We appreciate the volunteers' hard work and value their input,” Rowen Cleaver, Duck Creek Picnic Races President commented.
Unit 56 at Macquarie Home Stay proudly features the “Duck Creek Picnic Races” on the door, acknowledging the financial support they have shared with Macquarie Home Stay over the last few years. The gifts of Duck Creek have been recognised by naming a room in their honour, recognising the donations given to us and providing a warm bed and a safe place for patients and family to stay as they navigate their health care. ”Because of Duck Creek, patients from across regional NSW have somewhere to call their home away from home, not just for a night but for many years to come and that’s something the committee and race goers can be very proud of supporting. We appreciate the terrific partnership we’ve developed with Duck Creek, knowing the people from western NSW benefit from the event,” Rod Crowfoot explained.
This extraordinary donation further helps MHS support the thousands of patients every year who require patient and family accommodation in Dubbo, whether for a night, a week, many weeks or months.
