Just wanted to say a huge thank you so very much for fitting myself and Mum in at such short notice! Macquarie Home Stay is an absolute credit to you and your team and the volunteers coming in to put on an amazing spread for dinner too. Wow, just wow! For those travelling far and wide to attend appointments, this was such a lovely surprise.

The room was spotless, comfortable, easy access and such an ease of check in including helping wit information in regards to the iptaas forms.

Better than any motel. If you've got specialist appointments or family in hospital this is ideal place to stay. So clean and great facilities. A true home away from home.

Excellent accommodation. Rod and team have thought of everything. Fully insect screened, even good quality soft towels and fitted sheets. We stayed in a self contained room which had a microwave oven, toaster, kettle, 2 ring hot plate, dishwasher along with sink unit, cupboards, cookware, crockery and cutlery. All rooms have a two door fridge/freezer, a television and have space to move. There is no food cooking in the non self contained rooms but that is well compensated by a fully fitted communal kitchen, where you can even roast a dinner. There is a communal laundry with washing machines and dryers, and a good sized communal lounge room with extras like a small library. The accommodation is set up to cater for short and long stays. The rooms are extremely clean and set in very pleasant surroundings. They are across the road from Lourdes hospital, short walk from Dubbo Base hospital and a short drive from Dubbo Private hospital. I can’t express how impressed I am by this facility and the friendliness of the staff. 6 out of 5 stars, I reckon! Well done!

A huge thank you to Rod and his team at Macquarie Home Stay for providing an excellent place to stay while my daughter was in hospital in Dubbo. The room was warm, the bed comfortable and I felt safe in the facility even when I was in the communal kitchen by myself at 9.30pm. It was also wonderful to find something in the fridge that I could heat up for dinner when I came back late from the hospital. The homemade slices/scones etc were a delight as smelling and eating something homemade was really comforting so thank you to the great cooks who made these! Staying here definitely took a lot of the stress out of being so far away from home during my daughter’s stay in hospital. I definitely rate this far more than just 5 stars!

If you need a slice of Heaven and a bunch of Angels, look no further. Nobody likes being sick, and having to be in hospital can get you that way fast. Having a place to stay a. So close b. with such resources c. that is affordable d. With staff that care really makes what could have easily been a nightmare into a much easier and far less stressful event. There is no other facility in Dubbo that I'm aware of that can match this place. Real thought, effort and money has gone into creating this high class facility - and it shows. Well done Rod and team!

I visited my Sister who was staying here while waiting on test to be done at Dubbo Base Hospital ready for Surgery. Lovely caring people running the place and the rooms so very nice with peace and quiet for rest and sleeping.

Friendly, helpful, informative and competent staff greeted us at reception. Room was well appointed, comfortable, and very clean. Ample parking including disabled parks. Comfortable lounge and dining area with two kitchens in community room, barbecue and dining facilities under cover in outdoors setting. Very secure premises with nightly security checks. It is a great asset for Dubbo and a "must stay" for those, or their family, with health issues.
